Childrens European Championship Moorsele Belgium (U14) 29.07.2009
Xenia qualifies for the final of the European Championship in Moorsele, Belgium. 15 countries represented from Europe.
Xenia Farmerova as the only Slovak representative to the European Championships for children in showjumping arrived after a long 18 hour drive with her horse Mabea II to Moorsele.
Xenia results for the open round was excellent with clear round at 110 cm and proved both Xenia and Mabea II had recovered from the journey.
Day 2 was 120cm first qualifier for the championship final and Xenia for the 15 jump circuit completed with a small error on the easiest jump concluding 4 penalty points.
Day 3 Xenia competed as individual amongst the teams from 14 countries at 120-125cm and again with one single fault on the last but one jump where Xenia rode to close and Mabea had no chance to clear it. Again 4 penalty points.
Second round was different course at same height and concluded again with one error and 4 points leaving Xenia with 12 penalties to qualify for the final.
Throughout the competition many children did not complete the course and have heavy penalties manly due to the course complexity and the number of jumps, so trainer Dr Juraj Hanulay was happy with the minor errors of Xenia and Mabea.
The moment of truth came when Xenia qualified for the final which was a major achievement. She qualified in 36th place and with 12 penalties was obvious that the event could not be won, however to be qualified was a major achievement considering she was the only representative of Slovakia and other countries had 5 riders. Austria, Greece and Romania had no riders in the final, Czech republic had one and usual Britain France, Italy, Germany Belgium and others had a good selection of finalists.
Day 4 after a good rest, Xenia entered the arena first for the 130cm first round final. Excellent ride with 8 penalties (two fences), which were unfortunate. Second round was 130 – 135cm but harder course and favorites fell and were disqualified, but Xenia completed the course but with 4 errors and 2 penalty points for time as Mabea had one refusal due to an error of Xenia in rise to the jump number 4.
Overall Xenia finished 26th which was ten places better than she started the final.
Congratulations to Great Britain for the Team event winners and Swiss rider for winning the European Championship against a tough jump off against Hungary.

RS Team (Majster Bratislava) 19.06.2009
Xenia took four horses to the show , Valtr, Maneta Kinska, Come on Boy, Mabea II. Super results even though her friend Alzbetka clinced Majter Bratislava from Xenia with a perfect course clear round, Xenia tried to win on speed but missed by 2 seconds for the title. Congratulations Alzbetka from us all, well done. Xenia was first on Valtr 110cm, Vetis cup 2nd on Maneta Kinska, 2nd and 4th in Majster Bratislava Children on Maneta Kinska and Come on boy (Valtr didn’t get to jump off unfortunately with on jump clipped and fell). Mabea II jumped 130cm and had excellent results, although Xenia fell on the second round. Maneta had clear rounds in the open 120cm competitons, finishing 12th out of some 130 horses, which included adults!
After 4 days we are all exhausted!
Xenia moves stables 19.06.2009
Xenia’s horses have now been moved to Dunaj Riding Klub in Bratislava where she will have constructed stable and Saddle room for herself. Finally clean stables with fresh air and on site is the best hall for riding in bad weather. Unfortunately Mr Kelemen who trains Xenia Dressage for jumping will no longer be able to train her due to conflict between Marian Stangel and Xenia’s move to Dunaj. Now for Dressage will train Dr. Hanulaj.
Xenia Awarded Trophy 19.06.2009
Xenia was awarded trophy as the best child rider for the Bratislava region at event held in Bratislava. She was also awarded a grant from Slovak Riding Federation , although very small value, was nice to see this happened.
Pezinok 19.06.2009

Lassee 01.05.2009
Xenia’s new stable arrival Come on Boy was taken with Valtr and Mabea II for a 3 day event near the Slovak border in Austria.
Come on Boy was Xenia first time out and used the competition to test his capability for 110 cm course which on all three days worked out very well finishing decorated in 2 of the competitions. All jumps were taken with reserve by him and Xenia took the time to see his basic jumping skills in slow rounds. Come on Boy has only been a dressage horse so he will been to get started properly for jumping.
Valtr – Friday finished 110cm and 120cm with a few faults and on Sunday took first prize for 110cm . Sunday in the Bronze tour final substituing mabea II finished with 8 penalty points not living up to Saturadys win.
Mabea II excelled in all classes. For 120cm clear and with faults on Friday and Saturday, but Sunday she was left for the Silver tour finali after Friday and Saturday clearing well the 130cm high jumps. Xenias first clear rounds at 130cm left a nail biting final where she was ranked 2. All horses before xenia had 8-16 penalty point and she had only one rider after her. Excellent round but took a minor mistake on the triple bar which Mabea tipped over, so 4 penalties, but still first. Number 1 ranked rider from Austria was clear until the penultimate fence and also finished with 4 penalty points. The jump off was 1 hour later and Xenia wentfirst on a clear fast round, but here oponent went clear too, after her, knowing it was all or nothing and achieved a 2 second faster time. Excellet on 3 days for 130cm with just 4 penalty points and second place.

Slovak National Showjumping Championship September 2008 16.09.2008
Slovak National Showjumping Championship September 2008
I am sure to see the whole championship for 3 days plus ride in the competition will require intravenous Red Bull, defibrillation machines prepared, and a continuous line of Robo Pal special strong Cappuccino. This was more like a marathon than a show jumping event, and thus, those who survived with few penalty points, had nerves of steel, and were clearly the best. Dehydration in the immense heat of the late summer, parents clearly in stress - ready for Heart attack - watching friends and family compete at the highest level in Slovakia was the context of a three day weekend. Clearly more excitement than a Bugatti Veyron!.
Next year I certainly will be more prepared psychologically. Marian Stangel, I’m sure, will have torches ready for the midnight jump-off to see where the fences are to.
Zero Tolerance was the message for the competition. All winners completed the weekend competition without penalty points. I can’t think of another sport where to win you make no error whatsoever for two days.
Xenia Farmerova came 4th after stopping at the 6th jump on Maneta Kinska and loosing the clear opportunity for Gold. We all wish Radka Kurkova, Monika Fisherova and Monika Stangelova congratulations for becoming National Champions in Children, Junior and Senior categories respectively.
Karpathia (RS Team) proved to be a perfect venue for major show jumping events in Slovakia.
Miloslavovo 05.09.2008
Xenia Farmerova wins FEI children on Maneta Kinska and Spiller Farmer International Cup U14 on Libera and 3rd on Valtr.
Xenia came third in the Vetis Cup 4th round but still holds the 1st 2nd and 3rd places in the table. Jan Novotny winning this round on Carissmo has jumped to 4th position taking back some of Xenias lead so far. Radka Kurikova on Alfa has upset the table with a second place with excellent results all weekend.
Children’s event had the additional competition from Eastern Slovakian riders Jan Novotny and Radka Kurekova creating a fairly tense competition. Jan Novotny excelled later in the day for the open competitions proving age is not the most important thing to have.
Spiller Farmer International Cup junior was won by Petra Zalesakova (Luigi K) , 2nd Halina Klimova (Cyrano) and 3rd Zuzana Fasingova (Normen).

ZOO Showjumping 01.06.2008
ZOO Bratislava Showjumping
Owned by the City of Bratislava and probably the worst facility in Slovakia (although the current management really try their best) proved to be a fun day for the children competing on a Jan Skatula designed course almost touching Military standards. It took the local firebrigade 15 minutes to damp the dust for the event to start in the heat of the morning. Amazingly no-one fell, but there were few clear rounds.
Xenia Farmerova and her friend Alzbetka Jedlickova battled with Tamara Kotosova on Jim Bean and Zuzana Slaba on her horse Nesa in the Spiller Farmer Cup league.
In the 115cm category on Xenia and Andy Rydz managed to get clear rounds. Xenia finished 1st, 2nd, and Fourth.
Lets hope the City of Bratislava invest in their property – also in carparking!
